So you have a RF remote (Remote) which will turn on/off a light. When you press and hold the switch, light gets on, but when you leave it, the light turns off. That means, to light up your table with remote you have to press and hold the whole time.
Dual toggle switch is just the thing for you. It uses JK flip-flop to latch a signal. It takes a pulse and keep the output high (+5V) indefinitely. If you provide another pulse output remains low (0V or Gnd) indefinitely.
“Put the RF-remote-receiver’s output to pin P1 (or P2). Drive any LED or Relay (through transistor) by the output of dual toggle swith: Q1 (or Q2).”
